BMB Music & Magnetics, earlier known as Bokadia Films was originally incorporated in July 1991 by Kalyan Neogi and Prabir Kumar Sarkar. K C Bokadia acquired controlling stake in the company and changed its name to BMB Music and Magnetics with effect from December 21, 1994. The company went public on March 02, 1995 and obtained a fresh certificate of Incorporation from the Registrar of Companies (ROC), West Bengal. 

In October 2009, BMB Music changed its name to Bokadia Films and received a fresh certificate of Incorporation from ROC, Jaipur.In 2012 the company has changed its name from Bokadia Films Ltd. to BMB Music & Magnetics Ltd.

The company is currently engaged in film production, making of television serials and mega films and manufacturing of cassettes. Till December 31, 1994 it used to undertake trading activities.
