Dewan Rubber Industries Limited (DRIL), flagship company of the Meerut based Dewan group, was promoted in 1972. The company manufactures cycle rickshaw tyres and tubes, as well as reclaims rubber, cotton yarn and calcium carbonate. Tyres are sold under the USHA brand name. Rubber products contribute to 88% of the company`s income from operations. The company has an exclusive 100% export-oriented unit for tyre /tubes and for cotton yarn. Export income comprises 21% of the company`s total income.
