Genus Paper & Boards, incorporated in 1996, is one of India's leading manufacturers of industrial kraft paper, duplex board, and other speciality papers. The company is an integral part of the Kailash Group. It offers a range of kraft papers varying from 60 GSM to 400 GSM and duplex boards varying from 230 GSM to 450 GSM. The company’s production units manufacture premium-quality packaging paper from both recovered and virgin fiber sourced through sustainable means. The equity shares of the company are listed on the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited.

Products

• Carton Board: Carton board is a multilayer material, comprises of three or more layers or plies, of cellulose fibre (pulp) derived from wood.
• Container board: Containerboard or corrugated case material is a type of paperboard specially manufactured for the production of corrugated board.
• Speciality kraft & Board: Kraft paper is stronger, due to its reduced lignin content and high sulfur ratio
• Writing Printing Paper: The company’s Writing Printing Paper, manufactured with the utmost quality, is a multipurpose paper and can be used for photocopiers, computer printing paper as well to enhance the prints with excellence.

• 2002: Name changed to 'Kailash Paper Products Limited'
• 2006: Name changed to 'Genus Paper Products Limited'
• 2011: Approval for the demerger of non-power infrastructure business
• 2013: Post the scheme of arrangement, 'Genus Paper & Genus Paper & Boards Limited' was formed as a Public Limited a Company and listed on the NSE & BSE
• 2015: Enhanced production capacity
• 2018: Commenced lease Kraft Paper manufacturing facility situated at Kashipur, Uttrakhand
• 2019: Termination of lease Kraft paper manufacturing facility situated at Kashipur, Uttrakhand
• 2020: Incorporation of wholly owned subsidiary on July 23, 2020 namely 'Genus Paper and Coke (Formerly Known as Kailash Paper and Paper and Coke Limited)
• 2021: Acquisition of NS Papers Limited vide NCLT order dated February 23, 2021
• 2022-23: Commencement of Commercial Production at Muzaffarnagar unit
• 2023: Made divestment of Kailash Waste Solutions (KWSPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. Therefore, KWSPL ceased to be subsidiary of the company with effect from March 24, 2023.
• 2026: Made disinvestment of 100% of the equity stake/investment held in its Wholly Owned Subsidiary -- Genus Paper and Coke (GPCL). GPCL ceased to be the wholly owned subsidiary of the company.
