Gujarat Kidney and Super Speciality was incorporated under the name and style of ‘Vihaan Medicare Private Limited’, a private limited company on December 20, 2019. Subsequently, in order to align its name with the business carried out by the company of offering multi-speciality and super-speciality medical services, pursuant to a resolution passed by the board of directors in their meeting held on September 04, 2023, and by the shareholders in an extraordinary general meeting held on September 06, 2023, the name of the company was changed to ‘Gujarat Kidney and Super Speciality Private Limited’ on September 13, 2023. Further, the company was converted into a public limited company pursuant to a resolution passed by the board of directors in their meeting held on November 02, 2023 and by the Shareholders in an extraordinary general meeting held on November 04, 2023 and consequently the name of the company was changed to ‘Gujarat Kidney and Super Speciality Limited’.
The company operates a chain of mid-sized multi-speciality hospitals, providing integrated healthcare services, with a focus on secondary (which are surgical services) and tertiary care (which are super speciality surgical services). Its hospitals provide integrated diagnostic services, either in-house, and pharmacies that cater to its patients. It endeavours to provide quality and affordable healthcare services to all its patients. The company wholly owns some of the hospitals but manage the operations of each of the hospitals through a separate professional management team. Each of its hospitals is managed by a Chief Operating Officer, who is responsible for supervising day to day functioning. This structure provides the company with greater control over its hospitals and helps it to deliver quality healthcare services.
The company is led by Pragnesh Yashwantsingh Bharpoda, who has vast experience in the medical industry. He has helped the company expand its geographical presence by strategically acquiring various multi-speciality hospitals, over the years.

- 2014: Established and commenced operations of its first hospital under the name of ‘Gujarat Kidney Hospital’ at Vadodara, Gujarat.
