Haryana Capfin was incorporated as a private sector company on September 9, 1998. The company was converted into a public sector company on February 3, 2006, and got its current name on August 9, 2006. The company was formerly known as Haryana Engineering Pursuant to the scheme of arrangement, Jindal Drilling and Industries transferred its entire business pertaining to the casinvest division to the company with effect from April 1, 2005.
