Impex Ferro Tech Ltd., an Impex Group company was incorporated on June 07, 1995 with the intention to set up a plant for manufacturing Silico Manganese and Ferro Manganese. The Company has been promoted by  Vimal Kumar Patni, Suresh Kumar Patni, Naresh Kumar Jain and Virendra Kumar Jain.  

In the year 1997-98, the Company has set up two submerged Arc furnaces of 3.6 & 5 MVA rating for manufacturing Silico Manganese and Ferro Manganese at Kalyaneshwari, Mouza Debipur, near Kulti, District Burdwan, West Bengal.The Company further went for expansion in the year 2000-01, when the third furnace having a rating of 7.5 MVA was installed and the same commenced production in April 2002. 

The Company has been awarded for manufacturing and supply of different types of ferro alloy metals like Ferro Manganese, Silico Manganese and Ferro Chrome.

IMPEX Group is one of the leading manufacturer, trader and marketer of Ferro Alloys, Sponge Iron and Iron & Steel related products. In addition, the Group has also diversified its activities to Cements, I.T.Services, etc. It was founded in 1996 at a very small level incorporating Impex Ferro Tech Limited and within few years with hardworking , honesty and under the dynamic leadership of its promoters expanded in terms of chain of Companies resulting in huge turnover, profitability and goodwill and becomes a remarkable Group with continuing growth.

The use of ferro alloys in the making of various types of carbon and alloy steels. Ferro Alloys are also commonly used for deoxidation, desulphurisation and refining of steel. The use of Ferro Manganese and Silico Manganese in the production of carbon steel is primarily because of refining and deoxidation of steel.
