Founded in 1942 by freedom fighter, Late Shri Puran Chandra Gupta, Jagran Prakashan is a media conglomerate with interests spanning across printing and publication of newspapers and magazines, FM Radio, digital, outdoor advertising and promotional marketing, event management and activation businesses.

The Group publishes many publications from various states in different languages and has many digital media portals. In addition, through radio, it has operations at 39 FM stations besides web stations. The Group’s flagship brand Dainik Jagran continues to be integral to India's socio-cultural fabric and is uninterruptedly the largest read daily in India since 2003. The Company is a public limited company and its equity shares are listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE).
