Juniper Green Energy was originally incorporated as ‘AT Capital Advisory India Private Limited’ as a private limited company on December 5, 2011. Subsequently, the name of the company was changed to ‘Juniper Green Energy Private Limited’, pursuant to a Board resolution dated November 22, 2018 and a Shareholders’ resolution dated November 28, 2018 to reflect a shift in its focus towards streamlining of the business. Upon the conversion of the company into a public limited company, pursuant to a Board resolution dated May 13, 2025 and a special resolution passed by the members of the company in the extraordinary general meeting dated May 22, 2025, the name of the company was changed to ‘Juniper Green Energy Limited’ on May 26, 2025.
The company owns and operates various solar/wind/BESS energy projects in various states. It develops, builds, operates and maintains utility scale renewable energy projects through its in-house EPC team and O&M team, and generates revenue through the sale of electricity to various off-takers, including central and state government-backed entities. Apart from solar projects, the company’s portfolio also includes wind energy projects and a focus on complex renewable energy projects, such as WSH and FDRE projects with BESS.
As part of its in-house capabilities, the company manages the end-to-end lifecycle of renewable energy project development across all critical stages, including bidding and auction; site prospecting; land acquisition and grid permits; engineering and technology; procurement; project financing; plant construction and commissioning; and O&M. It adopts a selective and strategic approach to auctions, backed by in-depth regulatory and commercial analysis, identify high-potential sites using Geographic Information System (GIS) tools, irradiance datasets and wind resource assessments.

- 2018: Clauses III(A) and (B) of the company’s Memorandum of Association was amended to reflect a shift in its focus towards streamlining of its business to renewable energy.
- 2018: Won its first bid for a solar project in the state of Maharashtra with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited under the MukhyaMantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) scheme.

- 2026: Partly commissioned India’s first FDRE project (under the SJVN FDRE Scheme) with 185 MW (259.00 MWp in March and April 2026) solar capacity, 81.90 MW wind capacity (in June 2026) and 201.28 MWh (in April 2026) BESS in Rajasthan, India.
- 2026: Commissioned India's largest wind turbine by rotor diameter with a capacity of 5.00 MW and a rotor diameter of 181 meters.
- 2026: The company’s outlook of external credit rating was upgraded to ICRA A+ (Positive).
