Kovilpatti Lakshmi Roller Flour Mills, an Eltex Group company came into existence as KLRF with its brand as 'Kuthuvilakku' way back in 1964 with the establishment of 46,800 MT of wheat flour at Gangaikondan in Tamil Nadu, near the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent.

Ever since inception, the mill prioritized its focus towards customer segmentation based on specific product quality and end use applications such as Bakeries, Parotta makers, Hoteliers, Sweet stalls, Confectioneries and Domestic end users. Thanks to the analysis that emerged contemplating specific needs of the customers, the company has achieved a major breakthrough in supplying quality flour suitable for specific end-users as Bakery special, Parotta special and Flour for Rusk rolls.

The Eltex Group, based at Coimbatore, has diverse business interests in Wheat Flour Milling, Cotton Yarn, Ferrous Castings, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Machine Building and Trading. The Group's Annual Sales is currently around $20 million and provides direct employment to over 1000 people.

KLRF is constantly putting its efforts towards development of flour expanding its assignment of customer product quality towards other segments of end users as well. Adding feather to the cap, KLRF has added a product as Chukky Fresh Whole Meal Atta by installing a Chukky Plant that manufactures atta through traditional grinding using rubberized emery stones by offering a product exclusively for making Chapathi and Puri to render unique softness, puffiness, fiber aroma and wheaty taste.

KLRF has made a major achievement towards customer requirements and made a phenomenal success in terms of supplying flour in various packages as 90 kg, 50 kg, 25 kg, 10 kg and 5 kg. Another remarkable significance is towards tapping the retail segment and it is a pioneer in launching half kg and one kg consumer packs of Maida, Sooji, Resultant Atta and Whole Meal Atta. Unit weights of 20 kg and 30 kg are offered to customers based on careful analysis of household segment needs. New product lines for Samba Rawa and related products are introduced.
