Lok Housing & Constructions was incorporated on August 14, 1985. The company is mainly engaged in housing development activities. Lalith Gandhi, O.P. Monga and Naina Shah are the promoters of Lok Housing & Construction.

The company promoted Lok Global and National Construction to participate in large hi-tech engineering and infrastructural development projects like roads, highways, railway with electrification, traction and signaling work, canal, road over bridges, tunnels, seaports, airports not only in domestic but also overseas.

Milestones

• 1985 - The company was incorporated on August,14.
• 1990 - The name changed from Navdeep Construction, to Lok Housing & Construction
• 1993 - As per backward integration plan orders were placed with Besser, Alpena, Michigan, USA at a price equivalent of Rs 70 lakhs for automatic production of 34 lakh blocks per annum on a full commercial scale.
• 1994 - With a view to render financial assistance to buyers of flats Lok Housing Finance Corporation was formed by the company.- The company signed an MOU with Marriott International Incorporation USA, for setting up three hotel/resort projects in Jaipur, Cochin and Goa. - Lok Cements formed by the company proposed to set up a cement plant with an installed capacity of 1.5 million TPA.
• 1995 - The company was exploring the possibility of expanding its housing construction activities in overseas market and a multi crore overseas contract was under negotiation.
• - The Company entered into the newly emerged area opened up for private sector with the collaboration of foreign partners.
• - The Company also entered into a MOU with the West Bengal Government in connection with Calcutta-Haldia and Calcutta-Siliguri Express Ways.
• - The Company entered into collaboration with Renong Group of Malaysia and national group like Hindustan construction Company and Khoday Group.
