Indo American Advanced Pharmaceuticals was incorporated on April 29, 1992 was set up to make branded and generic formulations under different systems of medicine such as allopathy, ayurveda and siddha. The company was earlier known as Indo American Advance Pharmaceuticals, it got its present name on December 20, 1996.

The company is located in the Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh, the manufacturing facility was established for manufacturing a variety of formulations including tablets, capsules, liquids and ointments in the field of antibiotics, analgesics, anti-pyretic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and other genres. The company has been suspended from the BSE on account of non-compliance with the listing agreement clauses.
