MetroChem Industries commenced operations in 1976. Its present production capacity is 17,000 MT per annum. Over the years, the company has achieved steady growth in productivity, output and employment as well as widened product-mix and applications by end-users worldwide.
The company has emerged as leading manufacturers and exporters of dyestuff and dye intermediates. The meteoric rise of the company as a dyestuff major is reflected in the steady improvement in productivity, output and employment as well as in its ever-widening product-range catering to customers worldwide.
MetroChem initially established units in the sprawling industrial area in Vatva, Ahmedabad. However, recognizing the need for enlarging its activities, the company set up a major state-of-the-art facility at Umraya, near Baroda, in 1995 spread over 300,000 sq metres. The unit attempts to meet the demand for high-end products developed through the Company's in-house R&D efforts.
