The company was originally incorporated on August 23, 1985 as “Milton Laminates Private Limited” under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1956 with the Registrar of Companies, Gujarat. Further the company was converted into Public Limited Company and consequently name of company was changed from “Milton Laminates Private Limited” to “Milton Laminates Limited” vide resolution passed by the Shareholders at the Extra Ordinary General Meeting held on February 24, 1997 and a fresh certificate of incorporation dated March 31, 1997 issued by the Registrar of Companies, Gujarat, Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Later, the name of the Company was changed to “Milton Industries Limited” vide Shareholder’s Resolution passed at the Extra Ordinary General Meeting of the Company held on February 23, 2007 and a fresh Certificate of Incorporation dated April 3, 2007 issued by the Registrar of Companies, Gujarat, Gujarat, Dadra & Nagar Haveli pursuant to change in name of the company.

The company was originally incorporated by Vijaypal Jain, Kantibhai Patel and Fatehchand in the year 1985 and further the Group Company Valley Valvette Private Limited was amalgamated with the company vide order dated August 28, 2009 by Hon’ble High Court of Gujarat. The Scheme came into effect from September 25, 2009 and pursuant thereto all assets, estates, title, interests, authorities, debts, outstanding, credit, liabilities, have been transferred to and vested in the Company retrospectively with effect from April 01, 2008 and in return the shares of the Company was issued to shareholders of transferor company. Presently the promoters of the Company are Vijay Pal Jain, Ajay Mahipal SinghJain, Abhay Jain, Vikas Jain, and Saket Jain who have experience of about three decades in laminates manufacturing business.

The company is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company and is engaged in manufacturing of Laminates, Artificial Leather cloth and Glass Fibre Reinforced Epoxy (GFRE) Sheets in the state of Gujarat. It is manufacturer and exporter of premium quality high-pressure laminates, industrial Laminates, laminated board, flooring laminates, artificial Leather cloth, GFRE Sheets and other allied products. Its superior quality laminates can be used on walls, doors, windows, cupboards, tabletops, hotels, cash counters, home kitchen, etc. Initially the company was engaged in manufacturing of laminates and further diversified in manufacturing and exports of Artificial Leather cloth and GFRE Sheets. Its manufacturing facilities is situated in Gujarat and distributed in two units having different activities of Production.

Key events and milestones

• 1985-86: Incorporation of the Company in the name and style of “Milton Laminates Private Limited”.
• 1985-86: Acquire Land for setting up Unit - I for manufacturing of Laminates.
• 1995-96: Receive Certificate by Plastic and Linoleum Export Promotion Council for selection of the company as winner of second Top Export Award for the Year 1994-95.
• 1996-97: Conversion of the company from Private Limited to Public Limited Company. Consequently name of the Company has been changed from Milton Laminates Private Limited to Milton Laminates Limited.
• 1999-2000: Recognition of Export House from Director General & Foreign Trade of Goverment of India for three years commencing from 1st April, 1999.
• 2006-07: Change in the name of the Company from “Milton Laminates Limited” to Milton Industries Limited.
• 2009-10: Merger of group Company “Valley Valvette Private Limited” with Milton Industries Limited with acquisition of all Assets and Liabilities.
• 2009-10: Started production in Unit - II for manufacturing of Artificial Leather Cloth acquired in merger.
• 2015-16: Started manufacturing of GFRE Sheets/DGFRP/CCL/NAFTC in Unit II.
