Modern Steels (MSL) was was incorporated on November 19, 1973 as a private limited company registered with the Registrar of Companies, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh at Jalandhar, promoted by Amarjit Goyal. It was converted into a public limited company on July 11, 1974. Modern Steel is the flagship company of the progressive Modern Group.MSL is equipped with 25 ton Arc Furnaces, with secondary refining continuous casting facilities, modern rolling mills and captive oxygen plant.
