Nagarjuna Agri Tech was incorporated as a private limited company on November 24, 1987. The company was earlier known as Nagarjuna Health Products, it was renamed Nagarjuna Agri Tech on April 5, 1994 and subsequently converted into a public company on January 19, 1995 through a special resolution.
A 100% export-oriented unit for cultivation and growth of cut roses, the company offered Corvette, Tineke and Sunny Prophyta, among other varieties. It signed an agreement with Stockhorst, Netherlands, for technical assistance and a marketing agreement with Florimex, Holland. Direct marketing was done in Singapore, Australia and Japan and its entry into the UK market was highlighted with the brand name SIM roses.
