Orkla India was originally incorporated as ‘MTR Foods Limited’ as a public company under the Companies Act, 1956 on August 21, 1996. Upon conversion of the company from a public limited company to a private limited company, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Board of Directors dated June 27, 2008, and a special resolution passed by its shareholders on August 12, 2008, its name was changed to ‘MTR Foods Private Limited’ and a fresh certificate of incorporation dated November 4, 2008 was issued by the RoC. Upon the conversion of the company into a public limited company, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Board of Directors dated February 26, 2025, and a Shareholders’ resolution dated March 13, 2025, the name of the company was changed to ‘Orkla India Limited’ on April 25, 2025.
