Patspin India was incorporated on September 20, 1991 as a public limited company under the Companies Act 1956 with its registered office at Cochin in the State of Kerala. The certificate for commencement of business was obtained on September 30, 1991. The company has been promoted by GTN Textiles Limited, Itochu Corporation Japan & Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd.

The company is manly engaged in manufacture and export of cotton yarn. The products include cotton yarn, processed yarn, knitted fabric, compact yarn and other speciality yarns.

The success of GTN spilled over to create a new story. The dream was given a new name- Patspin. One of the first EOU company in India. Housed in exotic ambience of an Italian villa. Driven by technology & advancements. About half the capacity dedicated to compact spinning.

Patspin India has an ISO 9002 certified 100 percent EOU yarn processing unit in Kerala which produces yarn that confirms to international standards.

Patspin had come out with a rights issue to finance the expansion of its capacity by 16,128 spindles which it did successfully in December 1996.
