Pennar Aluminium Company was incorporated on September 1, 1989. It has been promoted by Nrupender Rao and his associates, Pennar Steels, Pennar Patterson, and State Industrial and Investment Corporation of Maharashtra (SICOM). 

In the financial year 2008, the company did not conduct any operations. It was declared a sick industrial unit in 1998 and consequently, the bank withdrew all working capital. It could not service its debts, and the Securitization Act was invoked, assets taken over by Asset Reconstruction Company (India) (ARCIL) and sold to another company.

The registered office of the company is located at 1-10-75/1/1-6, Flat No 201, Second Floor, Sapthagiri Towers, Hyderabad 500016, Andhra Pradesh.
