RTS Power Corporation Limited (RTS) was incorporated in 1947 under the name & style of Bhanwarlal Bhutoria ltd. The company was set up as a power & distribution transformer manufacturing unit at Jaipur in 1971. The name of the company was changed to RTS Power Corporation Ltd. in the year 1994.

RTS is the flagship company of the Bhutoria Group. The history of the group goes back to more than 175 years. The Bhutorias' business activities included owning a jute mill, jute goods traders and exporters, financiers, cold storages and properties.

RTS at present has five manufacturing units located in Jaipur, Agra and Calcutta. They also undertake repair of burnt / damaged power & distribution transformers. The major customers of the company are state electricity boards / private utilities and some public sector and private sector units.

The management of the company vests with the board of directors which previously consisted mainly of the members of the family, who, as a result of their long association with the management of the company, have acquired invaluable handsome experience and professional expertise in various aspects of the transformer industry.

To further strengthen the functional efficiency of the board, well known professionals from the fields of power generation, finance, management etc, have been inducted.

The shares of the company are listed in the Bombay Stock Exchange & Calcutta Stock Exchange.
