The company was originally incorporated on February 08, 1995 as a Private Limited Company as ‘Transteel Seating Technologies Private Limited’ under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1956 with the Registrar of Companies, Karnataka, Bangalore. Later in the year 2022, pursuant to a Special Resolution of the company’s Shareholders passed in the Extra-Ordinary General Meeting held on November 04, 2022, the company was converted from a Private Limited Company to Public Limited Company and consequently, the name of the company was changed to ‘Transteel Seating Technologies Limited’ and a Fresh Certificate of Incorporation consequent to Conversion was issued on April 19, 2023 by the Registrar of Companies, Bangalore. 

Transteel Seating Technologies is a known furniture provider with many years of corporate and B2B experience. The company has developed the skill and expertise in making chairs, office furniture and other residential and commercial furniture. Over the years it has continued to focus on what it do well i.e. craft performance oriented Tables and Chairs. Its furniture solutions are a mix of design, value, and ergonomics, which ensure that back stays in good shape, day after day. It has also developed the in house Technical & Design team to provide turnkey solution and implementation of interior and work space in Commercial, Residential and Educational Institutions. Its aim is to develop creative and innovative Designs in furniture space and to develop techniques to make all products as part of ‘Make in India’ initiative. The company has its manufacturing facility situated at No. 28, 4th Main, Industrial Suburb, Yeshwanthpur, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The company outsources the mould of its products to the vendors for preparing them as per its requirements, these mould are then given to Injection moulding vendors to mould the part of the products. Once the parts are ready they are sourced to the factory where it has developed assembly lines to assemble each product. Also, some of the products are manufactured at its factory. The company has also expanded its presence in Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Pune and Hyderabad.

Major events and milestones

  • 1995: Incorporation of the Company.
  • 1995: Started Manufacturing Ergonomic Furniture to cater to the needs of the Indian IT companies that were being setup in and around Bangalore.
  • 1997: Moved to larger factory to address the growing demands of the IT Sector.
  • 2001: Acquired orders from Infosys, ITC, Bosh as corporate accounts. Expanded to Chennai to diversify clientele in 2001.
  • 2006-2017: Acquired more corporate accounts like IBM, Sony, SBI etc. and executed work on a Pan India basis.
  • 2018: Moved to a built to suite 2.5-acre 50,000 sq. ft. fully integrated manufacturing facility.
  • 2019: Digital first Direct to Consumer pivot in response to Covid 2019.
  • 2020: Opened Mumbai Branch.
  • 2022: Conversion of Company from Private Limited to Public Limited Company.
