Television Eighteen India (TV18), a media company, owns and operates CNBC TV18 and CNBC Awaaz. TV 18 is one of the subsidiaries of Network 18. The company shot into prominence in its first year with the launch of India's first ever show on satellite television - The India Show on Star Plus.
