It has subsidiaries with offices across India, Mauritius, UK USA and Japan. Walt Disney holds a strategic stake in UTV.
UTV has its own distribution network across markets such as India, US, UK, Middle East, South Africa, Australia and Japan. Some of the other key films distributed by UTV are Sarfarosh, Mission Kashmir, Tare Zameen Par, Don, Viruddh, Bluffmaster, Taxi No.9211 and many more.

Movies- Under this segment it is involved in production and distribution segments of movie. It has been associated with movies like Rang De Basanti, Metro, Hattrick, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Chup Ke Chup Ke, Lakshya, Swades, Fiza and many more. UTV has strategic alliances with Hollywood studios like Fox, Walt Disney, Sony and Overbrook. The company has co-produced Hollywood films like The Namesake, I Think I love My Wife and it has several projects in the pipeline.
Gaming- It has also ventured in gaming segment and hold majority stakes in two gaming companies - Ignition and Indiagames commanding stronger presence in gaming space. For creative aspect it has pool of talent from various countries namely UK, US, Japan and India. Indiagames has developed games such as Harry Potter, Godzilla, XXX, Ocean’s 12, Star Wars, Scorpion King and many more.
Broadcasting- UTV Global Broadcasting is the broadcast and distribution arm of UTV Software Communications. It has launched 4 channels namely Bindass, Bindass Movies, World Movies and UTV Movies.
Content Production and Services- It offers content in various segments like Kids, Drama, Comedy, Regional themes, Fantasies, Action, Horror, Mythological, Non-fiction. UTV’s fiction and non-fiction programmes cut across channels from STAR TV, to National Geographic to BBC to Hungama TV. It has aired range of programmes on 26 channels in 19 countries in 7 languages and has a library of over 5000 hours of programming. It has created serials like Shanti, Bombay talking, Shararat, Special Squad, Back to the Floor, CNN Indiadotcom, PanAsia etc.
It is also a dominant airtime seller on channels like Sun TV, Udaya TV, Surya TV, Gemini TV, etc.
It also operates 6 dubbing studio across Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai. It has catered clients catered to clients like Bindass, Bindass Movies, Discovery Channel, Doordarshan, Hallmark, Hungama TV, Nickelodeon, National Geographic Channel, Star TV, The History Channel, Turner International, Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros Walt Disney, amongst others.
