Jog Engineering was incorporated as VM Jog Construction in 1978 and got its present name in 1998. It acquired its present form in 1985 and made its maiden public issue of shares to take its equity capital to Rs 2 crore.

The company is engaged in various engineering projects including bridges and flyovers, foundation engineering, industrial constructions, pre-fabricated mass housing, manufacturing and laying of MS pipelines and pre-stressed concrete pipelines and waste-water treatment plants. It has a major workshop base at Kharadi near Pune which fabricates specialized supporting equipment required for various engineering and construction work. It has successfully completed several contracts in the Konkan Railway project and Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

Recent projects bagged by the company include construction of 33 residential buildings in Mumbai for Shivashahi Punarvasan Prakalp. Mahakali Flyover Company is a subsidiary company.
