Gujarat Apollo Industries was incorporated as a joint venture between Apollo Earth Movers and Gujarat Industrial Investment Corporation (GIIC) on October 7, 1986. It is the flagship company of Apollo Group of companies.The company was originally known as Gujarat Apollo Equipments. It got the present name on November 28, 2006. In 1992, GIIC sold its holding to its promoter group.
