Polo Hotels, a public limited company, was originally incorporated on January 20, 1984 under the name of Pohlo Estates Hotels and Investments with the main object of setting and running of hotels and restauants. The company was converted into a public limited company and the name was also changed to Polo Hotels, vide a fresh certificate of incorporation no.5708 of 1984 dated May 6, 1989 issued by the Registrar of the Companies, Punjab, H P and U T (Chandigarh) at Jalandhar.
