Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation (SPIC) since its founding in 1975 has been providing product & services that feed, nourish, and protect the agriculture & rural ecosystem. During the financial year 2000-01, the company disposed of its stake in SPIC PHI Seeds Ltd., in favour of the overseas joint venture partner and also hived off the Heavy Chemicals Division.
