Telephone Cables Limited (TCL) was established in 1983 as a joint venture of the Brar Group and the Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation. The company is into manufacturing jelly-filled telecom cables. The company’s plant is located in Chandigarh, which was set up in technical collaboration with Essex of USA. The manufacturing facility, set up in 1989, has a production capacity that has been increased to 2.3 million conductor kilometres.
