    Did anyone manage to sell the rights issue AIRTEL-RE credited by BHARTIARTL ? Feels like free money :P

    For every 14 Airtel shares held.. there was one Airtel-RE added to the portfolio..

    yeah, basically this is the right to buy one share of airtel at ~500rs whereas the current price is ~700rs. Earlier if one didn't use this right to buy the shares at lower price then they would relinquish the benefits. But now you can simply sell these rights (similar to shares) and pocket the 200rs difference.

    Is it just like how you would sell any other stock online? I remember back in the day applying for a rights issue (buying) was a tedious and cumbersome process and it was offline.

    applying for the rights issue is still tedious I guess. but you can sell this right to someone else just like how you would sell a stock on zerodha
