Asahi India Glass (AIS) was incorporated in 1983-1984 as Indian Auto Safety Glass. Later during 1984-1986 the equity stake were transferred to Asahi Glass Company Japan.AIS are the largest glass company in India, manufacturing a spectrum of international quality automotive safety glass, floatglass, architectural processed glass and glass products. Its auto glass commands a market share of 43% and its Float Glass enjoys 31% market share in India.
