National Fertilizers (NFL) incorporated in 1974 is second largest producer of Nitrogenous Fertilizers in the India commanding 16.5% of market share. Company started its operation by setting up two manufacturing Units at Bathinda and Panipat. NFL is public sector undertaking which is controlled by Department of Fertilizers in the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.In 1978 the Nangal Unit of Fertilizer Corporation of India was shifted to NFL.
